I Ask You this….. What is the small investment to keep a business or trading name REALLY WORTH?

Back in the Good Old Days pre internet you could change your business name & just worry about loosing a bit of business in the phone book & repeat clients. Still not a smart move.

However today it is much much more important to keep an old business or trading name.

Your old or other business / trading name is everywhere, you will be surprised.

Sydney Diesel Injection Service changed their name, smart move as they are a leading Diesel Service Centre in Sydney. However they didn’t keep their old business name Giluma Cooks Diesel Service, or the later business name change to Giluma Diesel Service.

So look at the image for a Google Search ‘diesel repairs smithfield’ How many times does the old business name appear, after more than 5 years of not being used.

How much lost business? What’s in a Name?

AND What if an old employee or competitor registered the domain name you no longer wanted & traded with it…

I Ask You this….. What is that small investment to keep it, active & linked REALLY WORTH?

I say be smart & protect your business name, trade marks & brand name.
